Auckland Airport Bus

Auckland Airport counts with an efficient and extensive bus network to Auckland city centre and surroundings. 

SkyBus

Auckland Airport to city centre. Skybus is the main transfer service to Auckland City and North Harbour from Auckland Airport.

Location

Outside the Transports Hub building in both International and Domestic terminals. 

Schedule

The bus operates from 6am - 8pm daily every 30 minutes.

Routes

-Auckland Airport to city centre via Mt Eden Road
-Auckland Airport to city centre via Dominion Road

Both routes terminate at 396 Queen Street. 

At the end of the route you can take a shuttle to transfer to downtown terminating at Customs Street East.

Both trips take usually about 40 to 60 minutes.

Fares

Adult one-way: NZ$17, Adult return: NZ$32.

AT HOP card is no use. 

Where can I buy the tickets?

You can purchase your tickets at the Ticket Kiosks (nearby SkyBus bus stops), from the bus driver (you can only pay by cash), SkyBus Hub/Lounge, etc.

Remember you can also buy them online

380 Airporter Bus

You can ride the bus until Onehunga Transport Centre or Britomart Transport Centre since they are the main hubs for public transport and suitable stops to move through city centre.

Buses normally start and terminate between Onehunga and Manukau.

To Manukau

Weekdays:

Domestic Terminal: 05:09am to 00:39am 

International Terminal: 05:11am to 00:41am.

Weekends:

Domestic Terminal: 05:12am to 00:12am 

International Terminal: 05:14am to 00:14am.

To Onehunga

Weekdays:

Domestic Terminal: 04:49am to 00:56am 

International Terminal: 04:51am to 00:58am.

Weekends:

Domestic Terminal: 05:03am to 23:56am 

International Terminal: 05:05am to 23:58am.

Fares

From Manukau/Onehunga to Auckland Airport, one-way ticket is NZ$1.95 with AT HOP card.

Without AT HOP card is NZ$3.50. Remember you have to purchase a 1-zone ticket.

Travel time is 36 minutes to Manukau and 32 minutes to Onehunga.

Where can I buy the tickets?

You can purchase your ticket from the bus driver and also you can use your AT HOP card.

Route 31

Botany Town Centre to Mangere Town Centre via Papatoetoe Train Station

You can also ride this bus once at Papatoetoe Station (remember you should pick up 380 bus line to get to this point). 

Route

This bus line has also a route via Otara Interchange, Hunters Corner and Papatoetoe Train Station.

Remember you can use this bus line to connect to the Airport via 380 Airporter Bus back at Papatoetoe Station.

Location

To get to city center just pick up the bus at Papatoetoe Station and take off at Botany Town Centre. 

Schedule

From 07:00am to 07:00pm buses depart every 20 minutes (outside these hours is every 30 minutes).

Trip is about 17 minutes (Papatoetoe Station to Botany Town Centre). 

Monday to Friday:

Mangere to Botany via Papatoetoe: From 05:30am to 11:25pm.

Botany to Mangere via Papatoetoe: From 05:40am to 11:45pm.

Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays:

Mangere to Botany via Papatoetoe: From 05:55am to 11:25pm.

Botany to Mangere via Papatoetoe: From 06:10am to 11:10pm.

Fares

One-way ticket cost is NZ$3.15 (with AT HOP card).

Without AT HOP card is of NZ$5.50.

Remember you have to purchase a 1-zone ticket.

You can purchase your ticket from the bus driver and also you can use your AT HOP card.

AT HOP card fares

You can use AT HOP card to ride in trains, ferries and buses in Auckland: 

Total purchase of a AT HOP card is of NZ$10. Minimum amount charge is of NZ$5. 

You can purchase it online or in person at AT Customer Service Center, ticket office or AT HOP retailer, located in any public transport station or terminal.
